我是台灣人，23歲，目前就讀UIUC的Master of Accounting Science，大學在台灣就讀台灣大學會計系。我接觸小朋友的經驗算是相當豐富，大學時期曾兼職當過安親班老師，接觸的學生從四歲到十二歲不等，教導英語、唱遊等，大約一年的時間。之後擔任家庭教師，帶過七歲到十五歲的學生，從數學、英語到中文，大約兩年的時間。在教學中，如果發現學生學習上有困擾，我多半都是反覆講解，給予學生較多時間消化吸收，並且給予鼓勵。教導小朋友最開心的事，是看見小朋友那顆最單純的心，讓我也可以回到最純真的想法，一起與他們成長。很開心可以認識香檳中文學校的小朋友，期待與小朋友和家長們一起努力。
我是楊密，北京人，拼音七班的老師．來到美國近二十年以來，有七，八年教小孩子中文的經驗．帶過從三年級到六年級的中文課．熟悉北美的常用的中文教材．我也有個兒子，小學三年級來到美國．對孩子們在雙重文化下的壓力與難處，深有體會．但孩子們的適應能力也很強．如果適當的引導，寓教於樂，用愛心，耐心來提高他們的雙語能力，對他們的自信心與認知能力，都大有助益．很多孩子到了大學，研究所都會接著選中文的相關課程．隨著地球村的理念被更多地接受．我相信小時候打下的中文基礎，接受中華文化的薰陶，一定會成為孩子們成長中難忘的經歷．盼望與家長一起陪著孩子，來學習並喜歡中文．也歡迎家長關心我們的教學．謝謝您的合作．

我來自台灣台北，2006年起陪同先生到香檳求學正邁入第三年。
我畢業於師範大學，曾任教於國中和高職，教師生涯即將走到第一個十年。過去雖然也擔任學校行政工作，但教學一直是我的最愛，因為我喜歡和學生直接互動，看著學生從無到有、一步步奠立起學習成果，那種成就感和開心就是給我的最大回饋。
很開心有機會和華人孩子們一同在香檳這塊美麗的園地，共同學習與成長！

My name is Chen Chen. I was born and grew up in Beijing, China. I came to the United States for undergraduate education in 2000. I received B.S. and M.S degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). I am currently working toward Ph.D. degree in ECE at the UIUC.
It is my prestige to introduce to you Chinese and Chinese culture at the Chinese Heritage Association. I have been engaged with teaching Chinese, translating Chinese/English, and sharing Chinese culture since 2000. I will teach the class Adult I this semester and I look forward to seeing you at class soon. I am always grateful that my experience in the U.S. has been a great eye opener and it has shaped the ways I am thinking and living. I hope your experience of learning Chinese and Chinese culture will do the same to you.
张恬湉，女，毕业于南京大学文学院语言学系对外汉语专业，主修语法和对外汉语教学法。在校读书期间，连续两年担任学校海外教育学院初中级班阅读课兼职教师，为百余名短期和长期班学生提供阅读技巧，并在纠正发音、规范语法方面取得一些成绩。

My name is Hui-Lien, a new Chinese teacher of Champaign Heritage Associate this semester. I was born and raised in Taiwan, so I speak both Mandarin and Taiwanese. With the strong interests in language teaching and instructional technology, I came registered in the doctoral program in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Education at U of I in fall 07. More than eight-year EFL teaching experience in Taiwan brought me some deep understanding about the implementation of teaching and learning. To me, teaching is great fun and I enjoy interacting with students in the classroom. Welcome back students and parents. We are gonna enjoy our fantastic Chinese Time!!!
